A PIRATE treasure hunt will offer little landlubbers the chance to learn map reading skills later this month.
On Saturday, January 14, Wildlife Watch will offer a free adventure day around Dale village.
Learn to read a map and navigate using a compass to track down the treasure.
Wildlife Watch is the junior section of the Wildlife Trusts, and is an exciting and safe way to explore wildlife and the beautiful natural environment around us.
The group is run by field studies council staff from Dale Fort Field Centre, and usually meets at the centre between 10am and noon on the second Saturday of every month.
Last month, youngsters got creative with willow, holly and ivy when Dale Fort library was turned into a miniature Santa's workshop.
Would-be elves made Christmas snowflakes and dazzling Christmas wreaths using natural objects collected from the woods.
