EXHIBITIONS IN THE MILFORD AREA THIS MONTH INCLUDE:

MIKE JONES & JONATHAN PITTS: pureART Gallery, Milford Marina until April 19. Mike Jones classical representation of the Welsh valley and its industrial people juxtaposed with Jonathan Pitts colourful and emotive trees and landscapes.

THE WAY OF THE CROSS: An exhibition of works by local artists inspired by the journey of Jesus from the Last Supper in the Upper Room, celebrated on Maundy Thursday, to the empty tomb of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, at St Clement's Church, Neyland. 10.30am to 4.30pm from April 15-17, 2.30-4.30pm on Good Friday, April 18, and 10.30am-4.30pm on Saturday April 19.

SPRING EXHIBITION: Resident exhibitors' spring exhibition at The Waterfront Gallery, Discovery Quay, Milford docks, until April 26. Featuring new paintings from Lynn Parr, Anne Symons, Anne Farrall Doyle, Johnny Cox,Graham Hadlow, Neil Crowther, Jon Houser, John Phillips, Sandra Phillips, Cynthia Morgans-Hurley and Raul Speek. TOE IN THE WATER: First solo exhibition by Bryan Bartholomew, in the gallery at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, until April 26. This exhibition brings together a range of subjects and styles from edgy narrative paintings, graphic cartoons to traditional landscapes in oil. All this is the work of local artist Bryan Bartholomew. Work from his early days in London and Wiltshire where he worked in advertising, animation and video production and including a number of works painted on his belated gap years in the Caribbean and Australia. Most of the work has been painted since Bryan moved to Pembrokeshire 12 years ago, but don’t expect the traditional Pembrokeshire cottages in this exhibition.

NEW GALLERY: The Late November Gallery has recently opened on the Quay at Haverfordwest. The current exhibition includes works by Kyffin Williams, Emily Gregory Smith and James Campbell. Runs to April 30.
