I'm looking for celebrationsElizabeth Nesta Harries

Elizabeth Nesta Harries 1917 - 2021 Mrs Elizabeth Nesta Harries, formerly of Llanreithan Farm, Mathry, and widow of the late John Mervyn Harries, passed away peacefully on January 31, after a brief illness. Having passed the century mark more than three years ago, Nesta survived two world wars, two global pandemics, and outlived most of her contemporaries. She is survived by her four children (Merrill, Mortimer, Moira and Christopher), six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. A long, truly rich life, well lived. Born and raised into the Nicholas farming family at Cwmwdig Farm, near Abereiddy, she experienced first hand farming in the days when horsepower meant literally that. Nesta retained that love of horses throughout her life, and for many years Welsh Mountain ponies lived at Llanreithan. She was a church warden for the church at Llanreithan for many years. Nesta spent her retirement living happily and independently in Fishguard, before spending her final years in the loving care of the staff at Langton Hall Care Home, Scleddau, to whom we are extremely grateful. Loved by all who knew her, Nesta's sparkling and mischievous wit will be sorely missed. There will be no public funeral, but a memorial service will be held later in the year when pandemic restrictions are relaxed. Rest In Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the RNLI, her favourite charity, via Paul Jenkins & Sons Funeral Directors, Feidr Castell, Fishguard, SA65 9BB. Tel: 01348 873250
