Frederick Simpson, aged 86 years, of Pembroke Ferry, Pembroke Dock, peacefully passed away at Pencoed Residential Home, Saundersfoot on 26th February 2021, with his beloved daughter Julie by his side. Fred was the devoted husband of the late Anne Simpson, much loved father of Julie, treasured father-in-law of Peter, adored Grandad of Theo and Milly and a dear brother. He is sadly missed by his loving family. Fred grew up in a children's home in Frodsham Cheshire, joining the army when he was posted to Pembroke Dock. Here he met Anne and subsequently spent many rewarding years working at Pembroke Power Station. The family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to the staff of Pencoed for their care, support and friendship during Fred's stay there. Julie and family would also like to thank everyone for their heartfelt wishes, flowers and cards they have received. The private family service, led by Neil Roberts, took place on Friday 5th March at Llanion Cemetery, Pembroke Dock. There were beautiful family flowers and donations in lieu to NCH Action For Children in memory of Fred may be sent to John Roberts & Son, Funeral Directors, 51, Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, SA72 6AN, who carried out the arrangements.
