Mrs Joan Gladwin Saundersfoot The death occurred peacefully on 28th April 2023, of Joan Lorraine Gladwin (nee Barnett) at the age of 87 of San Cler, Valley Road, Saundersfoot. Predeceased by her husband Peter in 2018, Joan had suffered a prolonged illness for many years, living independently whilst in her home of more than forty years supported and cared for by her daughter Lyndy. Joan was born in Carmarthen in February 1936, the youngest of seven children and always passionate about her Welshness, despite English heritage. Attending Pentrepoeth School and growing up living in Ferrar Street, Joan always considered Carmarthen her home despite living in St Clears and Saundersfoot. Joan leaves to grieve; her Son Stephen and his wife Claire, Lyndy and her husband Peter, grandchildren Joann, Maxwell, Huw, Lora and Hywel. The funeral service takes place on Wednesday, 17th May at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth at 2.30pm.
