A WELL-supported Milford Haven charity shop recently moved to a new location – but customers won’t have to walk much further.

The Greenacres Rescue shop held a sale at its old premises on 93-95 Charles Street, before opening up at number 34 this week.

The shop has been the animal welfare hub in Milford Haven for 17 years, and was originally named Milford Haven Animal Welfare. In 2010, Greenacres took over the shop in order to fund its busy rescue centre in Talbenny.

Greenacres manager Mikey Lawlor said: “The previous shop had served us well, however it is now sadly in need of repair.

“The new shop is perfect. It's spacious and capable of storing all of the items the charity has to offer, rather than being shared between two shops, like it had been previously.”

Greenacres has reassured its customers that everything is still exactly the same, including the volunteers, the bargains, and the cause that they strive to raise funds for.

The new shop celebrated its grand opening on Monday, June 23 with customers enjoying free tea and biscuits and a raffle.
