Dear editor, I was sorry to read in the Mercury last week of the departure of the Rev Steve Lee, of Bethesda Baptist Church, Neyland.
He made a huge difference to chapel life when he first arrived about ten years ago. I went there briefly whilst living in Neyland and the transformation was all too evident with around 60 or so worshippers there of all ages and his ministry was deeply appreciated.
It was lovely to read that at his last service, three teenagers were baptised in immersion of water, a testament to the message of God reaching young lives in Neyland.
I am sure we all wish his family much joy in their new venture in Bridgend.
