Dear editor, THE letter from Rodney Maile in last week’s Milford Mercury is a load of rubbish.
All anyone has to do is look at all the information on a computer screen under DEFRA, National Air Quality or Pembrokeshire County Council to see the vast amount of monitoring carried out. Besides the fixed national monitor sited at Narberth for the last 30 years, and the local one belonging to the county council.
Pembrokeshire Friends of the Earth researcher Dr Max Wallis praises the county council for its intensive air quality testing.
Before I became an invalid I was a council member of the Pollution Advisory Committee at the now Murco Refinery which was also attended by HM Inspectors from Swansea and the environmental officers and inspectors of the county council.
