PEMBROKE Dockyard was closed by the London Government in 1926 and the place was a ghost town, but when another war came in 1939 it was a very important place.
It is now slowly gaining its existence again, but there is still need for new ventures which employ many people, however, I am of the opinion that now the Haven is such an important gas importing centre, plus the oil tankers, Trident nuclear submarines are not safe here.
You need an isolated place, as in Scotland.Wedo not have these places around the Welsh coastline. Dare I suggest the West Country with its Naval traditions?
