THE mother of a 14-year-old girl who died suddenly last week has appealed to pop star Justin Bieber for a memento to place in her coffin.
Milford Haven School pupil Megan Evans died suddenly on Tuesday, February 7, at her home in Skomer Drive.
Police received a report of the incident at 10.08pm, and have said there are no suspicious circumstances around her death.
A statement from the school read: "The whole school community has been devastated by this terrible news.
"Our thoughts and sympathies are very much with the family at this moment."
Friends and family have also shared hundreds of messages of condolence online since the tragic news emerged.
Megan's mum Nicola Harteveld thanked mourners for their "overwhelming thoughtfulness and generosity", and today posted an appeal to Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.
"To all our wonderful friends home and around the world, as you may know, our beautiful, kind and caring daughter tragically took her own life earlier this week," said Nicola.
"This is utterly devastating to us and all of her friends and anyone who knew her.
"Nothing we can do will ever bring her back, but now more than ever we need to fulfil wishes we knew she had.
"As all her friends will know she idolised Justin Bieber and had VIP tickets to see him in June.
"Sadly now this will never happen but we desperately would like a piece of memorabilia signed by Justin to Megan Evans to put in her casket with her."
Nicola has tried contacing the singer, whose hits include Sorry, Baby and Love Yourself, via Facebook, but is also asking that people share her plea.
"If anyone knows of any possible way to make this happen then please please please let us know," she said.
"Please help Megan fulfil her dream."
If you can help in any way, please contact the family on Facebook.
Friends have also started a fundraising page for Megan's funeral, and to raise money for anti-bullying charities.
Megan’s funeral will be held on Monday, February 20, at 1.45pm at St Katharine and St Peter’s Church, Milford Haven, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn at 3.15pm.
