ROSEMARKET Golf Club played in the two-day Stableford competition at the weekend.
On Saturday, Alex Scutt played excellent golf and came in with 42pts equally producing the goods on the day was Bryn Lewis in second place with 41pts. Third was Paul Smith 37pts followed by Chris Hine and Tom McCarthy on 36pts.
Day two and best scores of the day were Jock Wilson, Scotty Martin and Mark McCormack on 37pts. However, with a round of 36pts to go with his 37pts on the Saturday, the winner with a combined score of 73 and retaining the trophy from last year was winner Paul Smith.
Runners-up was Jock Wilson 72pts, third Scotty Martin 71pts, fourth Chris Hine 69pts and fifth Mark McCormack 68pts. Twos winner was Chris Hine.
Latest standings in the Order of Merit Trophy is Chris Hine 301pts, Paul Smith 277pts, Scotty Martin and Alex James 261pts and Gary Lloyd 259pts.
Results of the women's nine-hole stableford competition was winner Amber Deakin 18pts, runners-up Pat Gerson 14pts, third Marilyn Rawlings 13pts, fourth Rose Taylor 11pts, fifth Sarah Browning 9pts.
The juniors had an excellent away day at Priskilly Forest Golf Club. Thanks to organisers Clive Richards, Tony Deakin, Club Captain Graham Newton and Kevin Holmes.
Results were Red tees third Murphy Banner, second Mike Strand and winner Amber Deakin. Yellow tees third Tom Brown, second Luke Young and winner Jack Butler.
White tees second Tom Strand, winner Harley Holmes. Overall away day Champion was Alex Young.
