Gents Centenary Open Day
THE annual gents individual stableford competition for the Tom Stockwood Cup when 130 took part on a lovely day, with the course in excellent condition quick and true.

Welsh team championship
THE Welsh Team Championship will take place at the club from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19.. Thirty two teams of five players will play in knockout competition
Monthly Medal sponsored by Steve Youds of Service Master will be played which will also be a qualifier for points for the Brian Bebb Shield and the Nicholas Scratch Cup.
Ladies
LAST Thursday was the annual Ladies Open Day when 65 took part.
Ladies President Freda Owens welcomed everyone and Ladies captain Karen Pullen presented the prizes to the following winners.

The winner of the Esso Cup for the best score by a Milford Haven Golf Club player was Karen Lewis with 42 points
A second presentation was made to On Course Foundation; ladies Captain Karen Pullen chosen charity for her Ladies captain day held in June. Dave Onions (Milford Haven) from the Foundation gave a summary of the aims and works of the charity which helps disabled servicemen and women back into sports and employment.
Last Sunday, 12 ladies played in the Golf Union of Wales Rookery Nook monthly medal sponsored by Braemar Howells.

Seniors
LAST Tuesday the senior section held their annual stableford open day when over 90 players played.
There were some excellent scores returned with the top score recorded by Derek Jones of Trefloyne Golf Club with 46 points, which won him the top prize in the 55 to 65 age group and also the De-Valca Shield for the overall winner.

Last Friday, 33 seniors played a stableford competition which was also a qualifier for points for the Colin Reynolds Salvers. The winner was Mike Billing and recording his second win in three competitions with an amazing 47 points.

With Ken Edwards picking up another five points he now shares the lead at the top of leader board with John Clarke in the Colin Reynolds Salvers but still a long way to go.

Next Tuesday a stableford competition will be played with the first draw at 11.30 am followed on Thursday, August 22 when the seniors will play Tenby at home in their annual friendly match.
Tigers
THE Tigers played Glynhir Golf Club in their last away league match last Sunday and lost by seven and a half to one and a half with only Lyndon Brown and Andrew Smith winning.
The rearranged match against Garnant Park Golf Club will now be played at the club on Sunday, September 11. Tee off time is at 1pm.
