HAVEN Angling Club held their annual open fishing competition on Pendine sands.

The match was very well supported with 90 anglers from all parts of south and west Wales lining-up on the beach all trying to win the first prize of £300.

The fishing proved to be rather slow with only 24 of the anglers weighing in.

In first place with a flounder weighing in at 0.625 grms was Mike Mather, he improved on his third place of last year to take the money.

Local angler Danny Flunn was second with a flounder weighing in at 0.500 grms. The clubs committee would like to say a big thank you to the main sponsor for KC Motors of Milford Haven and to all other sponsors.
